In 1896, he undertook to educate women, an action that altered our country for good. Maharshi Karve, his wife Anandibai and his other colleagues have contributed to our progress as a nation by creating today’s emancipated woman. We celebrate his anniversary to remind ourselves and our students of his great vision and the great sacrifice he did to make education available for women.
During the Prarthana on the occasion of his birth anniversary , strict social distancing rules will be followed. Only the top officials will be present for the occasion at the Samadhi of Maharshi Dhondo Keshav Karve. The staff and the students will pay their homage to our Founder by praying at their homes.
